Re: LionChild Video & Film services

Dear Ms. Odell:

In October of this year. a "2 hour free"video editing coupon, offered by LionChild Video & Film, was forwarded to myattention by Ms. Beverley Royster of the Writing to Read Program at Los Angeles UnifiedSchool District. Ms. Royster suggested that I should make use of the coupon and bringmy recommendations to your attention afterwards.

Gladly, I did have the opportunity to arrange a twohour edit session with Bernard Mann, Director of Production. At first, I was hesitantand did not anticipate to get much done with the coupon. Eventually I met with Bernard,a young graduate from New York University, and we started immediately digitizingand organizing the video clips. They have a strong selection of source videotapeformats, from VHS to Beta SP, which would all result in a digital version storedon the computer's hard drive.

From this point on, the rest of the process was smoothsailing. We put together the video sequence like a child playing with Leggo or makinga puzzle, using pure creativity and fun. I did run into a few technical problemsthat needed fixing. Unlike the usual "Hollywood" post-production servicesthat is available for a high price, Bernard offered suggestions and technical expertisein resolving these video "glitches." For example, we were able to remove"a coughing sound" during an important sentence in Mr. John Nagata's speechand also fix a dark picture to look naturally lighter. Even as the two hour exhausted,Bernard insisted that we put name titles on the video as the person is speaking.Above all, Bernard demonstrated a sincere professional interest in the outcome ofthe project.

I still believe that good service will always surfacein the battle between service vs. facility. My experience with LionChild Video &Film has all been positive. At the end of three hours, their dedicated service &facility surfaced to deserve my positive recommendations.

Enclosed is a brochure of services offered by LionChildVideo & Film.

Sincerely
